This is Rocky Point as seen from the Patrick's Point Overlook. A trail branching from the Rim Trail descends to Rocky Point. The bouldery shoreline going south from Rocky Point to Abalone Point is rough but passable in calm weather at low tide. Harbor seals often rest on the rocks near shore. But keep well away from the ocean in rough weather, and know the tide schedule before venturing too far out onto the rocks. As you can see, the route to the near-shore rocks is submerged at high tide.
